I got grounded for 2 weeks?

i skiped the last day of school cause like every football player we have a end of the year celabration, well my sister is 15 im 17 she asked if i would take her to lunch so i thought yeah sure why not i'll just drop her off at home after it. SO we went and got lunch and when we got back i decided to come in hang for a while and get ready well my mom and step dad josh were there.... I guess they got a call saying we never came to the rest of our classes so my mom and josh desided i'm grounded for two weeks....

The worst part is i am suppose to go to my dads for the summer and tomorrow were leaving and i dont think my dad is going to be ok with me cause he dont really like to ground me and i know hes gunna get really mad and maybe yell i dont know how to handle this my sister got grounded for a week.

DO you think this is fair and what should i do about my dad?

It seems that at 17 you should be mature enough that you don't get grounded. Now what you do is demonstrate that you are mature enough to be acountable for your actions and do the time. You have an opportunity to really show all the grown ups that you have in fact matured by tootally acceptine the punishment as dealt you by your folks. If you want to impress the hell out of your Dad, call him and tell him that you may have to delay coming out because your folks feel you screwed up and you feel the mature thing to do is to stay home and serv your sentence. The bottom line is that if you want to stop being treated like a child, you have to take possitve steps to ACT like the young adult that you are.

Youre 17 and a man now. If it was me I would face up to my mistake and admit it was wrong and take any punishment like a man. If nothing else your parents will respect you for that.

Its a tough decision. If I grounded you and you were to go to your dad's - I'd let you go with out a big hassle. I might tell him what you did and I did ground you, just to let him no. Your sister will probably get out of her week, but if not a weeks not that long. Have fun this summer.
