I dislike most of my extended family?

my family is very dictaorish
like my mother insisits i call my auntys "mum" even though i've stated i don't want to and feel VERY uncomfortable about it. i'm not even that close with these aunts.
only because they are my mothers sisters :/
also i'm not really close with my cousins either
i plain just don't like them
if we were'nt related,i'd never befriend them
plus my aunt scares the fxck out of me

Sure you can not go to family functions, but your family is your family and you dont want to be that estranged family member.

Just go to the major family functions, i.e. holidays and weddings and/or aniiversaries/birthdays (up to you).

But when you DO have to go, try bringing a friend to keep you occupied and so you have someone to be with. Or if you can't bring someone, then just make a surprise "Hello," eat, and then leave. At least you made an appearance right?

Also, try not to let your family "walk all over you". Stand up for yourself. Because if it persists, then that's how they're going to treat you in the future.

Don't go to extended family functions. You can either make up lies or plain tell your mother you don't like them and be done with it. Sure it will hurt her feelings but at least you won't have to do it anymore.
