It's 3:00AM and the red phone rings in the White House after the President has had a long day?

is John McCain going to be alert enough to handle whatever situation arises? I ask because:
A) I'm 50 years old and you damned well better not call me at 3:00AM and expect me to be coherent.
B) My mother was a very sharp and intelligent woman until she started showing systems of altzheimers at 73 and passed away at 79.
C) John McCain had to endure tortures, that most of us can't imagine, at a young age and those experiences had to age him beyond his years.
So, considering Senator McCains age, should everyone be asking him who his vice-Presidential running mate is going to be? And shouldn't we be asking that question now, so that we can make an informed decision regarding a McCain administration?

these are great points. He also has a hard time reading the tele prompter. He also forgot that Al queada is not in Iran. He forgets a lot, but this is quite common in your 70's. The problem is, if he can't even remember who the enemy is, how can he be a good president. He also has flash backs. I don't know, but it's a hard sell.
