How do i deal with a friend like this?

Ok, im wondering if i can get some help & advice on what to do.

This girl i recently got back in contact with on myspace from school, shes been driving me up the wall

Shes been getting worse since then, especially today, i said for her to come and pick me up at 4pm tonight so we can do something before Bingo at 7pm,

but she doesnt get that and has been calling since 9am and its 10:30 now and shes been calling every 10-15 mins, i know if i answer, i either give in coz i feel bad or she'll keep asking me to go out and do something with her,
and youd think if someone doesnt answer their house/mobile phone a couple of times that means their busy or whatever.

Ive tried telling her before i cant handle seeing her everyday and its out of hand and that i will see her tuesdays & maybe on fri or sat (more info..)

But she doesnt understand that at all, ive tried ignoring her ive tried telling her but she cant stop!

I really am at the point, where i only go out with her because i feel like i have too and i dont enjoy her company,

We both have mutual friends, and im close friends with her cousin and shes moving in with her so i cant drop her as a friend at least not for now.

I dont want to have to tell her i cant be friends with her but i dont know how to do it or what to say or how i can stay friends with her cousin if i stop talking to her, her cousin and her are close.

LOL! I just posted a similar question, except this girl only bugs me online (thank god!). You certainly have my sympathy!

I know what a tough spot it is you are put into, but what I'm thinking is that if the person can't get the hint, they are putting ME in a weird spot and it's not my fault if the only outcome is to end up hurting your feelings. Unless someone can come up with a better suggestion to my question, I'm about to just tell her how it is. I mean if they can't pick up on hints, someone has obviously never pulled them aside and sternly told them "you know, this just isn't acceptable from someone i consider a friend." Maybe it's time they received that short lecture??

P.S. Maybe we should hook your girl up with my girl... hahahahaha they can talk each others heads off all day. :P

Block her email address. Block her phone number. If that doesn't work and she still bothers you change your phone number. If that doesn't work just plain out and out tell her. If that still doesn't work you'll have to take legal action. Don't keep going out with her and communicating with her.

buy her a date book/planner, and write down when she is allowed to call you. Tell her that any other times, you are not available. If she does call, don't just ignore the calls, answer and tell her that you cannot talk, that you are busy, and will talk to her on Tues, or Fri. Then, in a friendly way, say good bye and hang up. It might take a while, but she should learn that those are the only times that you are available to her. If it doesn't stop, you might need to let her know that she has a problem with obsession. just tell her you can't do anything tonight your busy with school stuff.maybe just hang out with her once a week if she is really that annoying
