In a conflict with a lawyer. How to handle w/out losing my shirt? |
m in a paralegal program. I onlyh hvae four classes left to finish my degree. I complained about an instructor not returning phone calls. the department chair (who is also a lawyer) lied and said I asked him to "bend the rules." he told the dean above him this. I filed a complaint with the dean about him for lying. He was adimatly sticking to his story he thinks he can say wahtever he wants becuase he is a lawyer and im just a student. Anyhow, I have 4 classes left, and I will HAVE to tkae one with him (hes the only oen teaching it) and one with the teacher who i complained about not returning his phone calls. the dean is currently investigating the complaint. What are my chances of being able to finish witout these jerks harassing me or failing me on purpose or trying to get me kicked out of the program?? any tips on how to deal w/ all this? First never state anything in an e-mail that you will have problems with later. Not sure who is the jerk here, frankly. wow, talk about burning bridges. I'd look for another college that accepts transfer credits. I'm sure these people have enough ethics not to purposely fail you, but relations will be strained, you'll get little extra help, and zero leeway. Not a good situation. |
