In your opinions which brand is better: Chevrolet or Toyota? Serious responses only!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

In the next year or so I plan to buy me a new car. The problem is I'm stuck between the Chevy brand and the Toyota brand. I currently own a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am and I must say that my baby girl (that's what I call my car LOL) has been good to me. But for my next car I want to try something new. I also own a small 91 S-10 Chevy that I use for going back and forward to work. I bought it from my boss and even though it's older it's still kicking strong. It's kinda pushing towards the Chevy side seeing that the truck is 17 years old and still going (with repairs and maintenance over the years of course). I need some help comparing the brands. Please help.

Well S-10's were terrible trucks, that's why you're starting to see repairs on that.

Anyway, depends on what you like really. I would personally buy a Chevy, but i'm a mechanic. Chevys are generally less reliable than Toyotas, but parts for Chevs are in an abundance and cheap, where-as Toyotas lots have to be ordered from halfway accross the world, and are extremely expensive, also they aren't very nice to work on in most cases. So if you want reliability, go Toyota, if you want ease of repairs, and cheaper repairs, go Chevy, just have to remember, every car breaks at one point.

id take the Chevy now days over the Toyota,chevy,s are building a real good vehicle now days and they are getting more and more gas mileage from their vehicles all the time,Toyota makes a good vehicle we all know that ,but the newer Chevys are really hard to beat these days,and there a lot easier to work on also, i have always liked chevys though my first car was a chevy ,good luck.

I think it depends on how much you want to spend, what sort of gas mileage you expect and what you'll be using it for. Until I bought my car, I always said Chevy... now I think toyota... nothing seems to make those die! Plus they do tend to get good gas mileage. Less repairs from what my dad told me, he owns 4 of them! SO maybe I will listen to him next time. :)

Toyota is a better brand, they dont need special pricing and 0% financing to move their vehicles, this means they have a good resale value. GM - stock at lowest level in 50 years, considering bankruptcy to be able to restructure.

Both very good but I go for Toyota. Running a old Hi Lux with 650,000km on the clock and still going very strong.

ok well i personally LOVE chevy!! but i had to go with the honda cus gas is killing us out here in texas.!! well chevy is a very good truck n toyota has some very good cars not really theyre trucks though.. um toyota is lexus family like classy n all that then go for like a new camry or gas efficent a corolla the 09 ones are cute.. ok n now for chevy,, the new cobalt is so aweosme on gas!!! n theyre cute too you can make them look sporty! they have them n 2 door n 4 door.. n um well for trucks is your lookin for somethin small you should go for a colorado a 4 cylinder.. good for gas.. it all really depends on what you need the most truck or car?? chevy is american made.. n toyo is imported so think about it!! hope i helpd!
