Five months ago i have a debt on my credit,i dispute?

this charge but the creditor did not respond in the thirty days period so the charge was removed from my credit, now five months late after the it was removed from my credit , i recived another letter from another collection agency , stating that if i dont reply within thirty day regarding the same charge that was removed they are going to forward the account information to the national credit reporting agencies, the charge was removed from my credit but i did not get a letter to prove that i disputed the claim ,and when i call the collection agency they said i have to send a proved within thirty days to show that it was disputed and remove, so what can i do ?

Just because you disputed it and it was removed once, pretty much means nothing. When you dispute with the credit bureaus, they ask the creditor to verify the item. All the creditor has to do is say "yes, that's correct" -- no proof required. If the creditor fails to verify, the item is removed. But legit derogatory items are likely to show back up on your credit file whent he creditor next updates or if the debt is sold to another collection agency.

If this really isn't your debt, send the collection agency a certified, return receipt letter requresting validation of the debt, including copies of contracts or other documentation proving the debt is yours. Give them 30 days.

If they fail to validate, you can use that to have the item removed again. If they do validate, you should have everything you need to prove the debt is not yours.

Is the debt legitimate or was it a product of identify theft, etc?

If it really is your debt, if it's taken off your credit report because you dispute it and they don't get around to disputing your dispute, then they probably will keep sending it back to the credit reporting agency. You have to pay the debt you owe.

However, if the debt isn't your's, you need to take it up with both the collection agency (with proof of why it isn't your debt, instead of the letter of dispute) and the credit bureau and send it proof (police reports, or other proof depending on why the debt isn't your's)

If im clear on what you said you had it removed and now the collection company sent you a letter saying they are going to put it back. If thats the case dont worry about it until you see it, b/c to dispute the item it must first appear back on your credit report. The collection company is probably trying to scare you but once you disputed something on your credit report they cannot put that same item back unless its accompanied by additonal info that proves you owe the debt.

You'd probably be best off sending a "drop dead" letter via certified mail to the collection agency. See the link for verbage.

I would get your credit card company involved. The one that removed it. Call them and tell them what's going on. Let them fight it for you.
