Internet connection failing?

I have recently started a 'Call of Duty 4 sever'(a game sever). Before starting the sever I forward my ports so that the game players can find my sever. Well after starting the sever it was working fine until my internet connection disconnected for 1 or 2seconds and reconnected and my sever was down.
Can any one help me solve this problem!

Either you have crap internet, lower than 2Mbps or your modem needs the ports to be forwarded.

Search up 'port forwarding' in google and find out about it and how you can fix it. I don't know much about it but I had to do it on my OPEN modum.

Restart/reboot/reset your internet modem.

Restart the game server?
