China trip in two weeks possible? I dont have a visa or booking reservations, can I can that visa in that time

hi, Im was planing to go to china and i just found a good tour but it leaves in two weeks, so i was wondering if the service mychinavisa.com was good. Im worry because I dont want to give them my passport but at the same time, i may have to choice. Also i was going to stay behing without making any reservation after the tour and the china embassy says we need to have all bookings complete, is this a problem?

You have to give over your passport to get a visa.

If it's a tour they should be able to arrange the visa. But, don't count on getting a visa by yourself in two weeks, it has become a very complicated thing. And don't plan on staying behind after the tour. Laws are very strict now.

You don't say what country you are from. And almost any answer you get here will be correct, because I have seen people get visas in one day, others it has taken a month. Others just couldn't get a visa. These were Canadians and Americans.

If you booking a tour they should be able to get you a visa in the process as well. Other wise its 3 workings days standard or 1 day fasttrack.

Getting a visa shouldn't be a problem. Your tour group should help you. I don't know what country you are from, but if from Canada, you can get a visa is a day. China is giving less visas out, but a 30-day tourist visa (L visa) should be okay as you are not coming in August. As for staying afterwards, that should not be a problem. If you get the 30-day visa, you can stay for 30 days :) Once the tour is over and you are just hanging out in China the hotel you stay at will ask for your passport and register you.
