Are you going to miss Tim Russert?

I sure am.

I looked forward to the Sunday mornings when he had Mary Matlin and James Carvelle on. I think watching them needle each other tickled him like it tickled me.

Last week, in his final show, he had (what did he call them?) the NBC Fab Six I think. It's fitting that he got to spend his final broadcast with his friends at NBC.

RIP Tim Russert, and thanks for all the years of holding those politicians toes to the fire, and doing it in an enjoyable way!

Absolutely. He was one of the best. Can't say I would remember to tune into his show every Sunday, but it was a good show, a much more quiet, low key, relaxed format, which could lead to some open and interesting discussion. Moreso than the very scripted cable news political talk shows these days, where they seem to just want to get the person to say what they want them to say, Russert asked thoughtful questions, and made these interviews interesting. I have to admit that I enjoyed the James Carville Mary Matalin bits the best too, I mean, that was the best part of the show for me. The panel was, essentially, decent human beings, who didn't agree with each other all the time, but were friendly and could give you some intelligent discussion. The show had a way of bringing that out in people like no other show I've seen can. The sad thing is, I really don't know if that can come back, there's no potential replacement that's just like Tim Russert, and I suppose that's good in a way, every journalists' unique personality and perspective gives them their own style and show, but Tim Russert had a good show, and still had a lot to offer. And it is truly a shame that he is gone.

I will miss him. Tim was a good man. I didn't realize how much he did for charity. And those who knew him well commented on how he treated the common man away from the cameras--just like they were a guest on his show.

I did have disagreements with his coverage on the latest Presidential campaign, but I guess that can be part of politics.

When I look back at Tim Russert, I will remember a kind, decent, inquisitive soul. I have never been a church goer, and his Sunday show made me feel somehow more connected to society--it was my version of church. I am thinking he is Heaven right now smiling down at all of us bickering political junkies. His wife and son are in my prayers.

I am definitely going to miss him.

He had a great personality, and I always enjoyed watching his show. He was very tough on questions, but he wasn't mean about it. He asked questions from an objective point of view, and would pry out as much information as possible.

His interviewing skills will be tough to meet by anyone.

I am not really going to miss him. He might have been a credible anchor at one point, but recently, his hatred of Hillary Clinton has clouded his judgment.

He hopped on the Obama bandwagon with all of NBC news and that's the only thing I can remember about him. A lot of people don't want to hear this right now, but his journalistic integrity was compromised by the media's Obama fever.

It was the time I looked forward to of the week....Meet the press. I had to walk out to my car and bow my head when I heard he died.

Goodbye Tim I will forever miss you.

I feel sorry for his family, but I will not personally miss him.
I never watched his show.

Yes, he was one of the few who didn't allow his own politics to interfere with getting at the truth. Very rare these days.

Politics and Sunday mornings will never be the same!!

How terribly sad!

Yes, he was an extraordinary political analyst.

It is hard to imagine Sunday mornings without him.

He will be missed.

Yes i will miss his Sunday show..I watched every Sunday.
