PLEASE HELP!!!! 3 Kids may be in danger!!?

OK, I have a cousin who has 3 kids ages 4-13.
I live in small town north Texas. She use to live here as well. She has had mental illness for a long time. About 4 years ago she and her husband and kids picked up and moved stating her mom and dad wanted to kill her and the kids. (her husband is ill as well.) They moved and wouldn't tell anyone in the family where she went or have any contact with us. Fast forward to today. She starts writing letters to all the family stating she would be visiting this summer and wanting all to write back. She is now in north Cali. Yesterday I get some letters, all writen on sticky notes, saying how I am a whore and many very scary (very untrue) delusions. She speeks of suicide over and over and how I'm trying to make her kill her self. Now remember I haven't see or talked to her on almost 4-5 years. Now I am very scared that if she is this ill the kids are in real danger. If I just call CPS or cops she will run again, What can I do to help the kids?!

They also may have A meth problem, they ran a head shop selling bongs, pipes ect.

I got about 50-70 "sticky notes" all in 3 letters dated over a weeks time.

If anyone needs more info say so and I will add more info.

Report it to CPS and the police. Give them the notes and the address to where she is at. If you dont tell her she called then she wont know what is going and have no reason to run until the police or CPS show up and then there will be no time to run. But dont wait any longer, because you want the kids in little danger as possible and getting them out of there faster is the best thing.

You sadly have no choice then to call cps and the police with all he info that you are talking about. Remember that the more they know the less she can run.. Call a family meeting too,you need all to be there .. act fast,you don't know what could happen..

I think you need to speak with an adult if only to off load some of the responsiblty she has put on you .Keep the letters and give them to someone who will be able to help with the horrible situation you find yourself in .

Tell CPS of your concerns NOW..... show them the letters if you can call sticky notes that, scan and email if able. Will other family members back you up? Sometimes reporting can cause a rift. Those poor kids, they probably know by now their parents are whacked, the oldest probably is more the parent. Do it while in school hours and before school is out if its not already. CPS can do an emergency removal for safety, let them know they are likely to run. There is a possibly they are already on CPS radar. The kids may not be honest but they are trained for that and the CPS know how to ask the right questions. So sorry to hear and good luck.

If you have her phone number, maybe you could call her and ask to talk to her kids, just to say hi, and then make sure they are ok. Obviously, mental illness mixed with Meth use cannot be a good thing. I don't see how calling CPS could hurt if that is truly the case. Heck, even the police might be able to help. I'd be most worried for the 4 year old.
