Is this a good cover letter?

As the city of ____ ____flourishes, its citizens must be an active part of its development. Being a citizen of ____ ____, I want to take part in the care and/or upkeep of our town by becoming a Summer Park Staff member. I read about this intriguing job opportunity on the ____ ____ website, and I thought that it would be a great way to get more involved in my community.

I am interested in the aforementioned position for various reasons:

鈥?I enjoy working outdoors and aspire to do so,

鈥?I am efficient and work especially well under pressure and deadlines,

鈥?I work well alone, as well as in team settings, and

鈥?I am competently skilled in gardening, mowing lawns, and landscape upkeep.

I've never written a cover letter before (and I regret not doing so with my other job applications!!).
So what can I do to improve this? Should I rearrange anything? Should I add my skills with computers, other people, and with money, or anything else?

the job description was: trim weeds, water plants, prepare ballfields, and general purpose.

It's an excellent letter, with only one 'typo' you need to fix ... second to the last line, there are two y letters, where only one should be. Other than that, this is a PERFECT cover letter, and I hope you do get this job ... good luck!

Except the part: I will call either Friday...if I don't hear from you, that almost sounds like a threat! Leave that part out.
