Mixing Chihuauas?

I have a long haired chihuahua, shes called Babie & Shes 9 months old.
im thinking of breeding her, but not just yet.

-Is it okay to breed her with a short haired chihuahua?
-what would the pups be like?
-and what age is best to breed chihuahuas?

Long coats are a recessive allele. Unless the short coat you use has the recessive gene too, all the pups will have short coats. If you breed a long coat to a long coat you get all long coats. But two short coated chihuahuas can have a long-coated pup if they both carry the recessive allele.
Most vets suggest you wait to breed until second heat.

if you breed a long and a short haired you are likely to get a mix of both hair types from the pups.
They would still in fact be purebred chewwiwis and adorable as all get out.
I dont like to breed my female dogs until a year old and then we only breed them once (just a personal preference)
But a year old is what our vet told us.

If you need to ask this question here, you don't know anywhere near enough to be breeding.
