My friend is trying to find a lost family member, does anyone know of a way to locate him?

My best friend recently became close to his half brother for the first time in his life. They spent a lot of time together, and things seemed to be going very well. Then about 2 months ago, his brother disappeared. His cell voicemail is full, and he has not returned anyone's calls in 2 months. He tried google-ing him, looking him up in the phone book, calling family, friends, but no luck. Its as if he just disappeared.

Although my best friend jokes about his brother resurfacing again someday totally randomly, I know he is genuinely worried and concerned. What should he do? He is 30, and his brother is older than him, so its not like his brother can't take care of himself.

He is my best friend, and it worries me to see him like this. What can he or I do? I don't want to put my nose into his family's business, so any advice that I could forward to him would be a great help. Thank you.

Well, the first thing I would do is see if someone's actually gone to his residence and see if he's still living there, or if it's looks like he's moved. If he has not moved, I'd suggest calling the local authorities. If he has moved, it might be hard to find him if he does not want to be found.

Alot of the online free services as well as many of the ones that charge only have information that is several months to several years old. I know this because I spent 20 years looking for my brother and could not find him anywhere. I paid for a few of the top sites as well, but alot of the pay sites info was the same as the free sites old stuff!

I gave up until a co-worker recommended a Private Researcher, Lost Branches Private Research. We call her the "Lost Branches Lady", and she is amazing! She located my brother in just days, and her fees are very low. Her site is at http://www.lostbranches.com

You can suggest this to your friend - but first I would go with trying to see if there's foul play involved. It's really strange that he's dropped out of touch.

Best wishes to your friend!

Allie

Is there a website where you can look up his cell number and possibly find his address by that? Maybe call the police and report him missing? It sounds a little fishy. I'd search the net and see if I could come up with something. Sorry I'm not more help. I do think you are doing the right thing by trying to help. If he doesn't want your help, he will let you know. But I bet he does.

i thinkhis bro has run away for ever. maybe b'coz of depression or somethin'. did something happen with him? get some private spys and get clues as to where he was spotted. u could get his pic printed in the paper. someone might turn up with info. u could try and ask his bro's friends. isn't his family looking for him? maybe something happened? where can he go anyway? get the police to search for him.
hope something happens soon. bst of luck!

go to google, type in itellius it cost 10 dollars to use but its worth it. it gives you phone number criminal history address relativeof the persons addresses and numbers.

http://www.public-records-now.com/

click on the above link and enter the missing persons name, etc.

Call the police in the town he lived in! They could at least go over to his house and see if he still lives there or if the place is empty. I hope the brother did not just disappear on purpose....

I know it may sound silly, but you could find him on personal networking sites and possibly contact him that way.

File a missing person's report with the police.

it is not true that an adult can take care of their self these days, and i have been missing my sister for over 30 years

Try this www.zabasearch.com. It's free. Good luck!

Have the police issue a missing person's report nationwide and see what happens. His brother could be anywhere, so don't just issue a local one. After he does that, have the police run a GPS tracker on his brother's cell phone. When I worked for the phone company, sometimes we did that when a mom couldn't find her kid. The cops are more efficient with it, though. If that doesn't work, then have the credit card company find out where he used his card last or the bank see if he withdrew any money in the past few days.

His brother could just be hiding out for a while. If his cell phone hasn't been cut off yet, then he might still be alright. You can't do any of that stuff I just told you about until you file the report with the cops and make sure you tell them that you need them to issue his brother permission to look into his phone records, his bank records, credit card usage, and track him by GPS. That should work.
