Question about the So-called Wrestling God!?

I have to admit that when Bradshaw first morphed into JBL, I hated the role. In time I saw the value in his heel character he had some decent matches with Eddie, Undertaker, and yes he even had a great "I quit" match with Cena. Flash forward to 2008, so far all of his matches have been a joke, could they not of found somebody else to job to Cena ?
In my opnion I thought he was one of the best color commentator's that Smackdown! has ever had. So my question is why would WWE take JBL out of retirement just to be another jobber for Cena ?

And I could all do without the "JBL sucks" answers. Unless you feel the need.

It was clearly a bad move on the part of WWE to move JBL out of the broadcast booth and back into the ring. I do like to see an occassional APA reunion, though. You're absolutely right, JBL was a great color commentator, JBL should be sent back to Smackdown and Mick Foley should be sent to ECW to replace Mike Adamle.

He had back problems and was considering retierment so wwe put him on commentary since he had mic skills and Tazz went to ecw. after about a year and his back was feeling better he must of got the wrestling bug and wanted to get back in the ring. jbl feuds have been crap so far since his return but his matches with JBL and his mania match with finlay was quite good. I agree that jbl shoud not be jobbing to cena he has lost to him too many times i cant remember jbl ever being booked to beat cena.

I admit JBL was a great color commentator on Smackdown, but the reason they brought JBL back out of retirement was because they needed an established, solid heel character. JBl's character is a cut out heel, and there is no way you can see somebody like him getting any love from any fan what so ever.

Although I admit he hasn't done much since his return, besides beating up Hornswoggle and beating Finlay at WM24, JBL still cuts great promo's and draws enormous heat, which is the prime reason he feuded with top faces like Cena and Y2J.

JBL probably came back because he loves to wrestle...

...and the WWE is lacking in developed heels, guys that can draw heat towards them just by being themselves. JBL is one of the few that can, and him jobbing to John Cena is not bad entirely bad if JBL still gets the upper hand in the rivalry between them at different points.

JBL as a commentator was horrible. All he did was argue with Michael Cole rather than calling the action in the ring. There were way better heel commentators than JBL, and that includes Bobby Heenan.

I agree with you that the best thing JBL has done since his days as an Acolyte is as the Smackdown! commentator. He's awful as a wrestler. But I think that's some of the value in him. The fans legitimately hate him, because he's bad, so WWE hears the boos, and thinks it's good for business. They've made so much money off of people playing roles that the fans didn't like - how much more do you think they can make if the fans didn't like the PERSON?

JbL should go bck 2 commentary the cena vs jbl thing at the moment is what's seniding me to sleep and it also doesn't help that raw hardly have any of their main heels left

You wont get a 'JBL sucks' from me. I'm a JBL fan to be honest. Sure his ring work isnt great but damn can that man talk. Hes a very good talker and can cut one hell of a heel promo. I love the arrogance

I like Bradshaw a lot until he turned into a wall street guy. I also liked his reign as wwe champion.

Maybe Grasping for popular talent IN the ring? I preferred him as a commentator.

All I can say is that I liked him much better as commentator!
