Doesn't anyone find these so called religious leaders appalling and totally contrary to the message of Jesus?

When Jesus was about to be led away to be killed Peter stepped forward and cut the ear off the guard. Jesus didn't comfort Peter and make excuses for his actions. He didn't say "I understand, we have been persecuted and ridiculed and prejudiced against. You go Peter. Da&* these racist Jews. He didn't console Peter. He condemned him for his act of hatred and violence, his lack of compassion for his enemies. He went further though and reached out and healed the guards ear. He did an act of love and compassion for someone he knew was there to lead him to his death. Jesus parable of the good Samaritan has taught all these shameless false leaders nothing. What about pray for your enemies and turn the other cheek? Jesus would never have taken up his Father's work as a front for racism, which is all these pastors do anymore. He didn't take sides based on race. He was a pacifist who taught love. Love and love. Being a pastor is not sacred to these false leaders. They only want the spotlight

Yes the guard was Roman I didn't mean to imply he was Jewish. Just that the Jewish leaders were behind his being put to death. Yes Jesus did condemn the religious Jewish leaders but he wasn't condemning them based on race or because he was siding with anyone politically. Jesus said "pay back Caesar's things to Caesar but God's things to God". Jesus was always 100% neutral on political issues. He didn't try to stir up an "us against them" mentality. He condemned those religious leaders because they weren't following the word of God not because they persecuted him. He always advocated love. He showed us that those in religious authority bear greater responsibility. All the more reason that these religious leaders should watch that what they teach is what Jesus would have taught. Nowhere did Jesus ever teach his followers to feel sorry for themselves, but rather to rejoice in suffering for the Lord. Why don't these pastors ever teach positive things about other races. Why so negative?

Most pastors only preach what they have been taught themselves. Although most may be sincere.....they are sincerly wrong!....Notice the context of Paul's words when he writes that Satan appears as "an angel of light." In 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 Paul warns of "false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ." We shouldn't be surprised at this, writes Paul, because "Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works."

Is that possible? How could people who claim to represent Christ be Satan's "ministers," his servants, used by the devil to spread deception?

Jesus Himself repeatedly warns of this very thing! He predicted that many would appropriate His name but deny Him by their actions. He said they would "call Me 'Lord, Lord,'" but "not do the things which I say" (Luke 6:46).

Jesus and His true apostles spoke of false apostles, false prophets and false brethren. He warns: "Take heed that no once deceives you. For many will come in My name . . . and will deceive many" (Matthew 24:4-5, 11-12). He knew that false teachers would arise who would teach a distorted, corrupted version of Christianity. That deception began in the first century, when Paul wrote that some were already teaching a "different gospel" and "pervert[ing] the gospel of Christ" (Galatians 1:6-7).

To carry out his purpose, Satan uses some people to deceive other people. This is especially true when they are motivated by personal ambition to be teachers of spiritual matters but lack a proper understanding of the Scriptures. Satan simply takes advantage of that desire and seduces susceptible individuals to represent Christ falsely, though often sincerely, while advancing the devil's own deceptive, disguised agenda.

To all who read this.......Do not be be misled by this greatest of all of Satan's deceptions. .....You need to be sure that your beliefs are based FIRMLY on the Bible!

Those who change the Bible message especially to children will be gravelly punished.
That's why in the Roman Catholic Church, every line of the Bible is explained in unison, all one billion of us get the same message from the Bible studies. You think its control, no, its consistence of the truth. We teach tolerance, love of neighbor and turning the other cheek. Those who don't live by this are corrected !

Good thing that the whole blood thirsty regiment of soldiers took a step back in awe and wonder looking at Jesus going on all 4's looking for the detached ear in the pitch dark night... until he found it. He gave it a spit and glued it back to the side of the soldier's head... That happens when any soldier is not wearing a helmet! Everybody was expecting Jesus to start a skirmish, but apparently Jesus chickened out...

The leaders of the 'Christian' churches are the collective 'Man of Lawlessness' spoken of at 2聽Thessalonians 2:2,聽3. Here Paul was warning of the great Christian apostasy that would develop after the apostles were gone and continue on until the 鈥渢he day of Jehovah.鈥?/div>
