How can I make her stop the harassment?

A woman that was supposed to be watching my daughter neglected her by not changing her diaper and feeding her as directed. I cancelled the check on her and told her why I did it and why she doesn't deserve it. Since then, she's been bothering me over a lousy $30 and has been calling me non-stop and I've asked her to stop calling and emailing me but she won't. I want to know, can I report her to the police? I have already spoken to the legal services and they said that I have every right to cancel that check because it wasn't illegal to do so since she provided bad service. My bank has my back on this and so does legal. This woman is lying through her teeth and she just won't stop. If you would like to see the emails from her, please let me know and I can forward it to you. I need to know if it's right to call the police on her for harassment. Thank you!

I have blocked her and she's finally stopped calling but according to legal, she would lose because I had proof that she didn't do her job and with the thorough letter that I had written to her about how I want my daughter taken care of, we came to an agreement that I would pay her only if she did her job. Unfortunately she didn't and legal has my back for this as well. I don't want to pay someone for neglecting my child. It's like funding money to terrorists. We all work for our money and if you don't go to work that day (at an hourly paid job), will you get paid? No... If you showed up and didn't do your work, they'll write you up or send you home unpaid. Does that make sense? I tried to work it out with her in the beginning but she's been doing this numerous times. I've given up on her...

You are absolutely within your rights to call the police. File a restraining order against this lady so that she cannot contact you via email or by phone. Good luck with that one. Seems like a doozy.

You have every right to inform the authorities about this harassment. It might not help, but it will be on file in case she escalates her stupidity. Unfortunately, in the meantime this might mean you have to change your phone # . As for email, you can simply block HER email address so that your computer won't receive emails from her.

Alternatively of course, you could pay her the lousy $30. and save yourself some trouble. Is it really worth all this grief just to win this battle against such a complete twit?

Inform the woman to take you to court. Inform the woman to be happy that she took you to court since she will make more than the $30 you owe.
You would lose in court. She watched your daughter. The fact that she didn't change her diaper or feed her as directed does not change the fact that she watched her.
Not only will you lose in small claims court, you will pay court costs and her court costs. You will pay more than $30.
Pay the woman and move on.

Yes, you can call the police if she harrasses you. Don't expect much more than an officer visiting her to tell her to stop the harrassment however.
