Do I still have a healthy chance to work this out?

have a boyfriend, but since I left the States and went back to Europe, we are in a long dist. relationship over 5 month now.
Talking regularly on the phone and sending each other emails. He always says how much he loves me, misses me, how bad he wants us to get together again, looking forward to settle down with me.
He recently got a good job and worked hard (at least he says so). Few weeks ago I called his cell and he said " babe, I am at work, cant talk, will call u back, ok?".
He dissapeared after for 3 weeks! I called myself and his response was something like that "I just wanted to see how long wud it take u to call me, and why is that u always blamin me for not calling u and cant simply call me urself?"
Also, he had a birthday within these days, so he reminded me also, that i " didnt even call him to say happy b-day! ". I asked if he remembers mine and he said " i do remember ur bday, but I wont tell u, cause it doesnt matter.
After that, he still told me that he loves me

He said, that he was "frustrated" because i "always want him to do things for me" (even tho, he cant really do anything because of the distance). also telling me, that he could not send me email, cause his computer deleted my email and he had pneumonia and was in hospital.
I told him "listen, if u are not sure about that relationship, just tell me straight up, dot be a triffling boy, be a man about it". he finally says " I love you to death, i am going to do everything to get us back together" and since that conversation he send me an email saying that he does not have a calling card and I need to call him myself. "baby, call your husband! I love you I love you"
He called me this morning again (after 1 week of silence), tellin me, that he works every day 13 hours (in a medican field). and convinced me, that I gotta plan a trip to visit him and that he cant wait to make me his wife and he loves me to death.
I dont know really what to do, I dont need any hypocratic harsh opinions here

He's playing ridiculous games. A long distance relationship like this will never work. I'd say move on.

he's doubting the relationship with u. he's feeling emotional & need ur attention. he misses u.

i could relate to him. it drives ppl crazy when u love someone but u think they don't love u.

be warm to him & reassure him that u r faithful to him.

it's odd that u didn't call him for 3 weeks. i would've called that evening.

Every thing depends on how long you are going to stay in Europe,to really say if your boyfriend stay with you or not cause out of sight out of heart.
