What would you do if you found out you were dating someone who wanted you for your money?

I'm pretty well-off financially. I've been dating a man (let's call him Fred) who didn't seem to care about that. A friend of his forwarded an email to me that "Fred" sent him. Some of the BEST things he says in the email is about how I won't co-sign loans or for a car for him AND pay the monthly payments on any of it. I told him I would co-sign as long as he made the payments, but he didn't want that. I would like some extra money each time I get paid for things that might come up. I've bought him small things, but a car is just too much. I want to dump him, but I want to teach him a lesson about gold-digging first. I don't know exactly how I should approach it or if I should just dump his sorry booty. What do you think?

I feel I should point out the fact that I haven't co-signed anything for him. I also make no monthly payments in my name on his behalf. Nothing is in my name on his behalf. He doesn't know any of my information (SSN, etc.), so I know there isn't anything in my name about which I don't know.

make up some fake paper work and so and tell him or her your broke...then you will know if its all about the money..been there done that!
