Is it too late to re-negogiate a salary range? Can this be re-visited at the in person interview?

I had a phone interview with a HR rep from this telecom company. She just asked some general questions about my experience in relationship to their job description. I answered honestly and I am more than qualified. Then she popped the big question about money and how much I make at my current position. I was honest and told her and now I am worried about how much they may want to offer. She said she would forward the information on the the hiring manager and he called a few hours later to set up an interview for Friday. I know I answered the questions well but I think that was really a quick response and I feel that I may have low balled myself and they may want me for cheap labor. How should I asked for more money if they don't give me what I think I am worth today. B.S in Telecom and 8 years of experience in this field.

just relax, wait for the final offer. i'm sure they'll consider a lot of other factors other than your phone interview and current salary. if you do get a low offer, negotiate. your current salary shouldn't be a basis for their low offer - i mean, you're joining the new company to get a better salary and more benefits, not to get the same range like your old company.

no.. do it later.

Sorry I wish i could help you good luck thanks..

Well, you already gave them a number, and it would be bad form to go back and change it. In the future, your reply to that money question should be "I am willing to entertain your best possible offer." (of course, you cannot lie about your current position's salary)

If they don't give you what you asked for, then you can still hold out for that value. If they do match it or exceed it, it will be pretty hard to ask for more, short of saying that you got a higher offer from a different company. Or you might be able to say that you aren't so sure about the job fit with their company, so you'll keep interviewing at other places, unless they can up their offer more.
