Was this wrong to do on mothers day? |
i live several hours away from my parents. anyway, i have a social event to go to tonight with some friends that i have been looking forward to for quite some time now. anyway, mom called last night and asked me if i was coming home to see her today. i was afraid to tell her that i had other plans, so i told her that i couldnt come home because i was in the hospital and was going to have to have some "tests" run. i didnt think any more about it, but today she called and sounded very upset and worried about it. i had to go along with it. i cant tell her i made it up. was this wrong to do? what are your thoughts? thanks Yes I think it is. Its your mother she cares about you how do you think she is feeling that her child may have something seriously wrong with them? Yes, I kinda feel you did wrong--but on the spur of the moment we say things to keep from hurting feelings. Just be glad she did not visit you in the hospital. On hind sight--you could have told her the truth--saying you did not realize this event was on Mother's Day. But we can always look back and think of those answers.
