Looking forward to any of the 08-09 pilots?

It's time for the May upfronts where all the networks (with the exception of NBC who already had their upfronts last month) work out their fall lineups.

I know there's TONS of buzz for JJ Abrams' (Lost, Alias, Felicity) "Fringe" on, and Joss Whedon's (Buffy, Angel, Firefly) "Dollhouse" (both on Fox). As well as for the the "Beverly Hills 90210" update.

Besides the three above, I can't wait for the rework of Rob Thomas' (Veronica Mars) short-lived 1998 masterpiece "Cupid," and the Mitch Hurwitz (Arrested Development) animated creation, "Sit Down, Stand Up" which features voice work from Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Henry Winkler. "Life on Mars" was a promising rework of the UK series, but David E. Kelley left the project and was replaced by the producers of October Road (BAD call).

Looks like Fox is on a roll with big pilot pick-ups. ABC who was great last year, is lacking this year from the looks of it. NBC and CBS are lackluster save "NY-Lon" (CBS).

Phil, I am looking forward to "Dollhouse." I've only read really super good reviews so far. But then again, you never know. Some shows get promising reviews and turn out to be crap. I must say I did not know that "Cupid" was making a comeback. I suppose my TV Guide and Entertainment Weekly(which I consider my bible) are failing me with up to the minute info. I am not looking forward to a remake of "Life on Mars." That is a good show that does not need to be toyed with. Remember when NBC tried to remake "Coupling?" What a disaster! I will watch anything with Jason Bateman and I do not care what it is. So, you can count me in on that show. =)

I'm looking forward to seeing what Dollhouse is going to be like, not only is it another Wheedonverse series, it is rumored to have Eliza Duschu (I know spelling is off), from Buffy but who knows, it may even open the door for some of the other actors from Buffy & Angel to get back together.

As for the 90210 update, I used to like the series, but I'm not sure of how it's going to work out. Some of the other series' I'm not sure of. But one thing's for sure, as long as Eliza's in the Dollhouse, I'll be excited.
