How do I get over a broken heart and move forward?

Advice pls.My boyfriend of 13 yrs cheated on me for 2 yrs with a much younger woman.I caught him out last July & was totally devastated.He immediately finished his affair & begged me to forgive him & take him back.He promised marriage etc.Like a fool I forgave him & we tried to make it work (he`s lived in U.S since Mar 07, me in UK)I was meant to move out to the US but he kept stalling,making excuses,then I found out he was still in ctct with the girl he`d had the affair with.I was pregnant by this point & lost the baby cos of all the stress & upset.
Even now after all these months we are both refusing 2 let go & its killing me.I don`t trust him now but am so terrified of letting go after so many years,I can`t imagine him not being in my life at all anymore.He calls & says how much he loves me etc that then tugs at my heart strings.Can any1 tell me what I can do 2 say enough & move on.I`m 40 & worry that I`m 2 old now to find some1 else.My pals r married & i feel alone,empty & suicidal

Right for a start you are not to old, you are only 40. please don't spent any more time on this guy. i went threw the same, all the " i love yous" until one day i realised that if he did, i would be the only woman in his life. He has made you feel dependant, and you cant move on. but one day you will, i did, and it took me two years to get him out my life. he is my sons father, so i have to see him, it was hard, but i realised i was better than what he was offering. this guy was my life, my every move, and like you honey, i didn't see a life without him. well let me tell you, THERE IS. i have met the best guy in the world, we are setting up home together and i have never been happier. please please think of yourself, get him out your life, don't listen to his sad stories, of how much he loves you. and please don't let him make you feel suicidal. you deserve better darling. And can i just say, that see that prat sirmanth that wrote a comment, he sounds like a right sad bastard that has been hurt, either that or an ugly ****, so just ignore him OK?

Your never to old to find love.Long distance relationships are very tough to do.Now that hes broken that trust factor would you keep trusting him to find out he did it again to you.Theres a lot better out there for you,just keep looking

You will get over him,just don't have any contact with him and move on....of course you will find someone else, 40 isn't old you deserve better after what he has put you through.
