Bad luck emails & forwards?

Why is it that on networking sites like facebook and emails too there are ridiculous forwards that people write just wanting to see how far it will go. They obviously put in some scary line like 'if you don't forward this to 30 people in the next 60 seconds you are going to catch the black death, crash your car and have 7 years bad luck...' Quite obviously any person with this amount of foresight would be rich and famous making a killing off preventing these untimely demises and yet your so called 'friends' feel nothing about forwarding the **** to you. if they really beleived it why on earth would they risk the same thing happening to you?...selfish buggers!!! Do people actually think these things will happen or are they just stupid?

I think computers just make it so much easier, I mean there were chain letters before but not everyone was going to sit down and willingly write the same thing 20 times over, stamp and lick it just to bother others.

They must, because I get them all the time. Makes me wonder about some of my friends. LOL. I just push that good ol' delete button!
