How to ask about a recent job interview/job status? Help!!!?

I recently went on a job interview which went wonderfully! They didn't ask me anything because I had already had a phone interview first before actually coming in..so they just explained to me what the job would be like and so forth..well at the end of the interview the interviewer told me that the first person who gave me the phone interview would call me to let me know if I'm still interested in the position and I told her YES that Im very intersteaded..she said Great we look forward to it..It's the 2nd day since my interview and I havent gotten a call yet. I feel like I got the job by the way they sounded but I dont know why they haven't called me yet and now Im getting worried..Should I call the first person who gave me the phone interview and ask about the status? If so, how should I ask if I got the job or not?? I don't want to sound pushy or desperate either, but I really want the job...Can someone please give me some good advice???? Thanks

its not bad being anxious for a job, especially if you really want it. DO you have there email address? If not call, what could it hurt. Just call and thank you her again for the phone interview as well as the personal interview and your interest still remains high! You can leave that on a VM!

I always follow up at least 2 days after an interview, by email with a thank you letter. I state what the job requirements to show that I actually understand the position and whats expected of me. Before I leave I ask for business cards. Your not desperate...your interested! Worst case senerio they say the position is filled, but at least you know and can move on.

It's only been 2 days! Wait for a week or 2.

After a week with no answer, you can try emailing them, but do it casually and politely.

If they tell you to wait, then wait. If you're too pushy, you might get blacklisted, or something. It might give them the wrong impression even before you start working with them.

Don't worry. Relax and enjoy your life without work. You will get a job :)
