I took some methylphenidate and...?

I took 120mg of methylphenidate. I know what it's used for. I was going to take 240mg, but decided against it after taking 120mg because I noticed I was very eager to learn and very excited and relaxed at the same time. I'm in highschool and usually never feel this way towards learning. My first intention on taking it was to just get high, but I realized after 120mg I felt different, but in a good way. If I WAS high, it wasn't much of a high, just a little bit. It's very weird for me to look forward to learning. I enjoyed this a lot. I'm an average student and just do work to get it done with, I never look forward to it or anything like what I've experienced today.


***Would taking 20mg still make me feel this way?

*How long does methylphenidate usually last? I "came down" (if you can even call it that) about 6 hours after taking it.

Personally, I haven't taken many ADD meds. They closest thing I got to what you did is I one time took 30mg of Focalin, which is DEXmethylphenidate, which essentially means it's twice as strong as methylphenidate. If you do the math, that means I roughly did half as much as you. I have a high tolerance to stimulants, and it takes a good deal of coke for me to feel anything.

I definitely wouldn't recommend taking 240mg, as it's probably not safe at all. On the other hand, you probably wouldn't feel 20mg. I've taken 17.5 mg of Concerta with no noticeable difference. However, as I mentioned earlier, I have a high tolerance, as I've taken 30 mg of Adderall and not felt different at all. I'd recommend taking 60 mg of methylphenidate and see how it goes. Definitely never take more than what you did, and I wouldn't recommend even taking that amount again.

I have a pretty open mind, and I'm not trying to lecture you, but just be careful with ADD meds. There relative ease of accessibility and the great feeling they give you, while at the same time allowing you go about your daily life makes them highly addictive and easy to become dependent on, and based on the amount you did, it seems like you have a steady supply.

I would advise only do meds if you have a big test or something like a big presentation in school. When used regularly, they are a lot more harmful than some drugs such as weed. If you wanna just get high, smoke some good kush. It's a lot less bad for your body, and impossible to get physically dependent on. If you need to do a lot of work on occasion, do a safe amount of Ritalin. Try not to do it more than once I week, but believe me, I know how tempting it can be.

Being noone has answered you yet means you will not get a good answer. Don't Take Illegal or Prescription drugs to get high. You could end up DEAD.
