Why does my fellow christian bible group friend do this?

Hello - me again - sorry (!)
Anyway, I go to a bible study group once a week in a neighbour's home. We've all gotten into the habit where each week we sit in the same seats, and, me being the youngest, I always take the seat that's left over (as I respect my elders). Anyhow, a lady there who I'll call Mildred*, always sits in such a way in her chair, that she sits forwards to block my view of the person with whom I conversing at the time with, so I have to move on the edge of my seat, just to be able to continue seeing the other lady to converse. Mildred* is very aware of what she is doing. I don't why Mildred* acts in this way, as I always make conversation with her (in case she ever feels left out). So, why does she block my view of the other person whom I taking to?

Mildred probably is just being rude. Just because you are in a bible group, doesn't make her a saint. People are people and they will do what they do...christians or not. Some of the most dishonest and mean spirited people I know are religious people. I would just tell her, tactfully, that she is blocking your view and could she please move. She probably thinks you won't say anything, which is why she continues to do it. I'm sure she'll be very surprised you opened your mouth and she'll move. You don't have to respect people that don't respect you. Plain and simple. You can be cordial and decent, I'm not saying be disprectful, but you don't have to live like you don't exist, just because she's older. You are a person and obviously a good person and you deserve respect too.

Not a very Christian response, if you ask me. Report It

Well, I'm not asking you, so you can buzz off! Report It

attention seeker? jealous? could be any number of things. if it was me, i'd leave my seat & move closer to the person i was talking to - sitting on the arm of her chair, kneeling in front of her etc. don't let her bother you, hun. auntie di.

When she does this, You should just say "excuse me" and see how she reacts to this. If she ignores you... then you will know that she is just being rude to you.
