So I needed a camera. A Canon Rebel XTi to be exact. Saw 1 for $319.00 @ bestpricecameras.com. I thought 'wow, thats perfect!' I placed an order got an order # and an email said someone will call tomorrow to complete the order. Some guy calls me. He says it does not come w/ a lens. I said thats was ok. He said it does not come w/ a battery either. I thought well thats odd? He said batteries are $129.00 for 3hr & $179 for a 5hr. So i said 5hr is fine and I got the 99$ warranty and I got next day shipping. HE SAID $319 for the camera, $179. for the battery, $99 for the warranty BUT he did not say how much was next day shipping. He said that it would be on the invoice and that it will be delivered thru UPS and they set the price. I thought ok fine. Flash forward to now $875.00 was the F*en total and the invoice only had $875 on it. Nothing else was priced. I googled this site and yeah the are scammers and I got scammed. I already made complaints but I really want my $$ back :(! You are not the only one: resellerratings.com .....saves lots of headaches and money/time too... check any dealer on the site for accurate and thorough comments..VERY DISSATISFIED comments are ALWAYS the TRUTH..some thieves have friends post positive reviews to attempt to lure another sucker into the trap..Almost got ripped off by expresscamera.com and broadwaycamera... the joy of the internet is that you get to shop around. it's a lesson learned the hard way. there's no way to get your money back. at least you have the camera. I agree about not using a debit card when ordering over the internet. My daughter used hers, and someone took the number and used it to pay for games. Luckily, her bank made it right, but don't take a chance. ALWAYS check to make sure a company is reputable. |
