Guys, can you tell me what's up with you men?????

I've been dating this man for the last 18 months. In the beginning he was very attentive, had a lot to say during phone conversations, missed me and looked forward to being with me on the weekends. He always brought a smile to my face when I would talk to or see him. Now I feel like I don't even know him sometimes. He calls me from work and from home but is always doing something that is noisy in the background making a conversation difficult. Lately, it seems like he doesn't have anything to talk about even when I start a topic and expect him to carry on with it. So why did he even bother to call me if he has nothing to say? I spend my weekends with him and I give to him my unselfish, unconditional love. He tells me that he loves me but his actions are starting to tell me otherwise. There are times when he still brings a smile to my face and warms my heart, but there are times when he seems so cold and distant. I don't know if I should stay or leave him?

I think your reading too much into it. He's busy but sometimes he may think about you during his day. Some guys get complacent and do not seem to know what women want unless they come out and hit us men on the head. We have little thought about the meaning of every day fluctuation in behavior...let's face it, women have some serious moody episodes too. I guess, he is comfortable with you and the relationship. Things are going seemingly swimmingly for him.

Women can be loving and generous but sometimes we men need attention in a different loving way more often than you think. Some women don't pick up on that.

You are just going through the cycle we all have gone through. At first in a relationship, we release a chemical in the brain that keeps us fired up, sexually too. After a 1 to 2 years that process stops and you and him have to keep things alive and ticking. Talk to him and ask him what he wants from life and you tell him also.
