And the walls came tumbling down...sex question...?

Something so weird happend to me last night.

I have been with my SO/Boyfriend/FH whatever you want to call him/ for about 1 1/2 years now. Our relationship is wonderful, and I look forward to spending my life with him. The sex has always been GREAT.

Something happened last night - it was like, all of a sudden, something 'snapped' in the two of us during sex, and it went from great and satisfying to mind-blowing. I am not kidding. The best sex of my life. I was even a little scared, it was so good.

Did this happen with you? Was there a point in your long-term relationship where the sex went from good to completely undescribable? Maybe it is the point when you can finally let go of every last shred of inhibition and control? I don't know. I am pretty confused, but I liked it ;-)

It was like we were both operating on a completely different level - I felt like someone else- a very sexy and sexual someone else; like all the 'me' identity was just blown away...

What is this

I guess my question is "What happened?" We've been together so long, that I thought I pretty much knew what to expect from our relationship, sexually. What could have happened to change this?

Great feeling, isn't it? The first time it happens it really overwhelms you. It will happen again - maybe not every time - but it will happen. I think it's because you've finally become so comfortable with each other that you could just let go & live in that moment with nothing else intruding on your thoughts & feelings - you were just completely focused on each other... no inhibitions...no controls. Enjoy it when it happens. Even for those of us who truly love our partners, life tends to intrude all too often on these intimate moments. What you experienced is something precious & rare - treasure it. May you have many more times together like this!

Our sex life has gotten better after 9 years, but i cannot say there was a defining moment and my wife claims her strongest orgasm ever was still the first time we did it. Maybe it was anticipation or something.

In all likelihood you learned enough about each other to hit the right spots all at once. Enjoy.

The worst part of the story is that this is the best its ever going to be. You will be chasing that experience the rest of the way.
