Ex-boyfriend is phony philosopher?

I got into many arguments with one of my ex-boyfriends, and in several of them, I could barely defend myself. Now, this guy can be a real buttwipe when he wants to be, but he just brings up the most ridiculous points and ends up pummeling me anyway. He's quite smart and verbose, and I have trouble understanding him sometimes. He lures out this side of me that I never knew existed. When I'm talking to him, I become full of rage and my heart races. Let me explain what happened not too long ago. We had started talking again and got to liking one another. He told me that we'd probably end up dating sometime soon, so I was looking forward to that. He then started not coming to my locker as often, didn't call anymore, etc. It angered me and we're not talking anymore. Now he's after his ex-girlfriend, whom he said he would never associate with in person again. Ugh. More than half of those arguments I knew I should've won. He's so aroggant. Do you think I have every right to be angry?

I ran out of room. >_< Anyway, it makes me wonder if there's something wrong with me. Why do I have this "other side" to me, specificallly when I'm dealing with him? Should I see a therapist?

yeah i had an ex like that. don't let him get you down.im not gonna lie, he was much cleverer than me and we would always have huge fall outs, then a few months later get back together, then fallout. It went like this for about 3/4 years.Until we had a major row and decided not to get back together but to stay friends. He is now one of my best friends, and even if we do still argue, it is more of a debate.
With this guy you gotta decide if you want him in your life, if you do then what do you want him as? Remember though, if he is going after an ex, its prob best you steer clear of him for a while, until he sorts himself out.
