Frustrated with hubbY?

My husband constantly complains about his job. I suggested he may want to look for a new one. Our area is limited in employment opportunities so he asked if I would do a search and come up with some possibilities in other metro areas. Then he asked if I would type up a resume' for him and submit them. I did all of this and when it came time to call these places he sat on his hands. I am so frustrated. i did all that work and I still have to listen to him complain. To make things worse I was really looking forward to leaving the area we reside in. I am a stay at home mom and I want to go back to work and was hoping that a new area might have more job opportunities. What do I do to motivate my husband? Why is he so complacent?

He might hate his job, but the thought of getting a new one and starting all over may scare him. Be patient, and just tell him to look, if he sees something that interests him and gets positive feedback, it may be all that he needs to get into a new job.

Fear makes him complacent. Motivating your husband is tough - if hating his current job isn't enough to motivate him, then maybe try being positive about his abilities, and that he's so underpaid where he is - basically, say whatever you can to build up his self-esteem and that will motivate him to get out of a miserable situation.

just be patient with him and motivate him don't get mad at him, it seems like he really want a new job but has a hard time actually going out there to get it, so just be there for him, sometimes some men or women needs someone to guide them threw it all.Good luck!
