Trying to find an old Playstation (One) Game?

I used to play a game on the PS One that was pretty cool. It was an adventure game... kind of like Golden Sun... but the main character could travel forward and backward in time. He would go to this spot on the beach and it would take you forward or back in time. Any ideas on what it could have been called?
You started in a village, met characters that joined your team throughout the land, and just when you thought you had the game figured out, you ended up on this beach and were transported to the future. I think it was actually a double disk.

We got rid of our PS and games LONG ago, but I've wanted to play that game again and wonder if there are any sequels on the newer systems.

I've looked it up and they didn't make a sequel and have no plans to do so :(
My PS One died before I had a chance to finish the game, so maybe I can find it and play it again now. Thanks!! :)

the game is called chrono cross... it was a really beautiful game but i dont think there is any sequel to the game... there was a previous game to chrono cross called chrono trigger.. that was on the PS as well. get a PS emulator for the PC and get both these games and you can play them on the computer....
