Civil case filed under seal?

In January 2008 my neighbor filed a civil lawsuit against a group of people one of which is me. She does not have an attorney so the case if "filed under seal" which I guess means that until I judge decided whether the case is worth hearing or not no info at all can be released. I went to the court back in January and was told that I would hear something in 2 months. It is now close to 3 months and I have heard nothing. I called the court today and was told that I could NEVER be told anything. Someday MAYBE I will be served which will tell me that the case is going forward. If the case is not going to be heard I will NEVER hear anything.
My question is
Am I supposed to just live my life with this hanging over my head forever? Why was I even notified? I do not want to pay an attorney if it is not going forward but also want enough time to prepare a case if it does come to that.
Would a lawyer be able to get any more info than what they are giving me, which is NONE.

Obtaining the services of an attorney at this time would be pointless. There is nothing the attorney would or could do since there's essentially no complaint.

Just my opinion here..but..if someone filed a civil suit against you and a group of people without an attorney....it strongly sounds like garbage to me!

I would think the judge thought so as well and as such you've not heard from the court.

Don't let this get you down....then the other person gets satisfaction knowing you are hindered by their actions.

In this day and age...just about everybody and anybody can sue for anything! Kind of sad if you ask me!
