Is sex safe during 1st Trimester of pregnancy?

I recently found out I was pregnant with my first and I'm now wondering if it's okay to continue to have sex.

I'm asking because I've also recently found out that I have a tipped uterus which is the reason why sexual intercourse (pre-pregnancy) is painful and when we do it we have very limited positions to do it in because (depending on the position) he will penetrate too far and press up against my uterus which causes pain and cramping. (Sorry, TMI). So pretty much I'm wondering if this now will harm the baby until my uterus tips forward (which I hear happens later in the pregnancy).

Any advice or ideas? I'll be calling the doctor on Monday to make an appointment (I'm so excited!!!!) and then I'll get input from her as well. But I'm not sure how soon the doctor actually wants to see you for your first check up even. I hear they like to wait a couple weeks unless you're having problems.

as long as it is comfortable for you it's fine. some people chose not to have sex for the duration of their pregnancies but most people keep right on doing it. you won't be hurting the baby.

I'd wait and talk to the doctor,if it's your regular obgyn then they'll know about your problem. Your doc may want to see you right away. It's possible you may be high risk. My aunt had something wrong with her uterus and she had all kinds of problems. Congratulations!
