What do you do when you mess up someone's name in an email, whom you just talked to on the phone?

Oh God... I just called this guy John, Jeff.... in an email, after having a good talk on the phone with him, and I just wanted to make it look better by emailing him back stating I was looking forward to meeting him FOR MY INTERVIEW! ...

What should I say back without looking like an Idiot!? ... Oh God.....

Oh man, that sucks. I would just write him again, saying "I just reread my email and saw that I wrote "Jeff" instead of "John". Please accept my apology, John."
If you want, you can try to throw in a little humor in there.

if he notices, just say, oh, i have a brother named jeff, or whatever. that way he'll think you called him the wrong name out of habit. just don't forget your lie and get trapped in it later when he asks you about your fake brother.
