He was friends w/my ex....& I w/his...can we be together now? |
Several years ago my husband met this man & they became friends. Then I met him & his wife & we all became friends. They have 2 kids & my husband & I have 1. My husband & I haven't seen them in 2 or 3 yrs. We moved to a different state. The wife & I didn't really keep in touch but my husband & this guy did. Well, my husband is now my ex as of last Nov. A couple of months ago the wife called me....but we only spoke once for a short time. But the husband(her soon to be ex)& I have been in touch almost everyday. I like him, he likes me & I mean as more than a friend. He says he knows I could make him happy & I know he could make me happy. He wasn't the reason my ex & I split, b/c we divorced before I even started talking to him again. And they were splitting before we started talking again, also. He had already filed for custody & all. We've been friends for years so we know each other & know how we feel about each other. Would it be ok for us to move forward & pursue this? My ex doesn't know we talk....and his soon to be ex doesn't know either. And we would never want to try and "rub it in their face" either. It just seems more respectful....even though we aren't together anymore. I think the worst thing might be the awkward feeling if yall run into eachother. Doesn't sound like there was a really strong friendship, so I don't see a problem. Even if yall had been really close friends, it wouldn't matter, you're all single adults and have the right to be with whom you choose to be. i think you should but it may cause some problems.the exes might think y'all been messing around and you got to think about the kids. I hate people like you. You try to make things sound Innocent, but you know what you are doing, you two deserve each other, hopefully your friends or relatives steal this new guy from you someday. My dad & step dad are like good friends cause they both have alot in common/same tastes in music, hobbies, etc. & what's more suprising is my step is black but my mom doesn't mind it-(it's better than trouble being caused) |
