Is it illegal for my ex-gf to be snooping around my emails?

recently she has been going thru my email and i only noticed bc i logged into webmail and noticed she has forwarded a lot of stuff from my acct to hers and to her friends. is this illegal? i dont know if she has contacted business contacts and tried to emabarrass me or something like that but i know she is forwarding exsisting emails and fabricating new ones and sending them around. what can i do? i changed my password the second i found out but now theres damage done, can i call the police over something like this?
