What's It Called When......?

This is a question that is hard to explain but鈥?br>
When wheels start to go forward as in with a car the wheels start to look like they are rotating forward-which they are.

But after a couple of seconds of this the wheel starts to look like it is rotating backwards.
(I hope you can understand and I hope you can see what I mean)

If you can understand what I mean then I hope someone will be able to tell me what this is called?

It is called either Temporal Aliasing or the Stroboscopic effect.
