Helio....?

Is the helio ocean a good device(cant call it a phone)?
What about the helio service is that good as well?
Is it available in atlanta, georgia?
I am very curious i was looking into the helio thing because i am looking forward into getting a job soon and i wanted the ocean so if you know anything just tell me.

The Helio is a great smart phone to get. The Ocean has a lot of features.

1- Free Youtube, a Free Myspace application, a 2 mp camera, you can upload video to youtube and flickr straight from the phone, you can upload pics straight to facebook and myspace, a good mp3 player that will play w/ and w/o headphones (it'll use the phones FOUR speakers).

2- You can find your txt mssgs & aim and aol mail & yahoo mssging and yahoomail & gmail & heliomail & for a monthly fee you can get Microsoft Exchange (it'll sync your microsoft email, calender, and contacts from your computer) IN ONE PLACE.

3- Free roaming is one of the side benefits of the Helio. It's a MVNO provider (a mobile operator that does not own its own spectrum and usually does not have its own network infrastructure), since they don't own the network, it doesn't matter much who they rent from (they rent from Sprint and Verizon).

4- Helio's reception is the same as Sprint's and Verizon. It primarily uses Sprint for voice and data, but it will roam (for free) onto Verizon for voice if needed. It depends on where you live but I live in NY and the reception has been great. Sprint and Verizon beat Cingular and T-Mobile in reception hands down in NY. I've never had a dropped call and it's rare that I have a weak signal. Just ask or check friends or ask online to see if Sprint gets good reception in your area.

5- And it has a VERY fast connection to the internet using whats called a 3g connection. I have no idea how it works but pages load a lot faster than my friends sidekick. The screen is also crystal clear.

I really like my Helio. I'm having way less complications and pay less than my close friend who bought the Sidekick LX. She basically told me what I hear a lot of, "If i wasn't so addicted to the 'flip' I would've bought the Helio." Well I don't care about the "flip".

It's a great phone for a reasonable price!

One tip though: do not get the a la carte membership if you decide to get the helio, it's not worth the $$ and it ends up costing you more than a normal monthly contract. I have the unlimited all in plan where I have UNLIMITED Minutes, UNLIMITED Txts and IMs, and UNLIMITED web browsing. Well that's about all i got, hope I helped.
