Your verdict on Lost episode last night?

After digesting last night's episode, I have to say it was kind of so-so. I guess we were due for a more mellower episode as next week is supposed to be shockingly good, and we have been getting good episodes so far. I guess the flash back instead of flash forward factored toward the mediocrity of it all. All in all, the high point of the epi was probably that it was cleverly named "The Other Woman" and really nothing else. I think we coulda done without this particular side story which only purposely develops the love quadrangle, ugh....or maybe we should add Ben in there for a fivesome, ugh, gag...

This epi suspiciously also answered a lot of questions...A LOT!! Eg, good call on Widmore, or is it? I just don't know whether to trust Ben or not. And the freighter peeps are good guys? Yet, they are so deceptive, secretive and violent to the survivors? I hope the writers clean up this mess and I can't say that I'm a fan of Drew Goddard's writing of late.

That said, I'm anxiously awaiting next week's episode. It should be a wild ride.

Well, what to say?

I watched the episode before going into the city today for a meeting (anything to think about other than work), so i have had the entirety of the day for it to sink in. It has sunk in all right, but i am still wondering about it.
For me that has to be the oops of the season, even though there were in fact a lot of answers once again it just seem to speed along at a pace not fitting for it. The constant was of course one of, or the best ever episode of Lost made to date, so trying to beat that was a toughie. But i have to say i just was not convinced last night.
There was no guessing and no mystery, it just literally told you anything you wanted in any old way. Nothing that was mentioned or highlighted was a newsflash, or a surprise, just everything we have all been thinking for sometime, and the whole Juliet and Ben thing well that was give away seasons ago when they argued over the book club.

My hit's this season being The Constant (have now watched it 5 times) and The Economist. Apart from last nights they all the epi's from season four had background greatness, but last night it sucked in centric and plot. sorry!

My personal favourite part of the Lost show is the philosophical debate, the wonder, the guessing. In a way us real Lostie's do not want answers. Really we love the chase, we love to theorise and pluck away at our minds thinking of links, connections and outcomes.

I have it on good information that episode 7 and 8 absolutely kick butt. Even though we have all known for ages that Michael is the spy. Hey, at least we get to see a Korean episode in flash forward -- sweet.

--------------------------------------...

Scott,
I still stand by my hypothesis that Ben is a saviour, a twisted nutjob one at that, but a saviour none the less to and for the island. My only wonder from last night's was; did Widmore have plans for Desmond long before Libby gave him the boat ? IMO she worked for widmore in some capacity, as does every man woman and child, lol. Seriously though i wonder if dessy was his pawn in making a move to the island. Funny how widmore supports sail races and balloon flights all around the same location as where he has an obsession for mythology and the island...
Libby for me holds a lot of answers with regard to the numbers, hurley, desmond and the boat, widmore and possibly the black bald guy i always forget his name (was in hurleys episode and the freighter episode). She was definately some kind of spy.

I think that the episode, 'the constant', was so good and answered so many questions, that 'the other woman' seemed to fall short of what we expected. I too am eagerly awaiting next weeks episode 'Ji Yeon'

This season has started on a goof foot, i believe it will get better. The Constant is my favorite episode so far, but next weeks episode might be even better. Some questions will be answered. Who's the man on the boat, who are the last two of the Oceanic Six, and maybe even more questions beside those ones. I cant wait for next week.

Last nights episode (please quit saying epi) was not as good as the previous two episodes. It did give us a bit of a back story on Juliette and how Ben "owns" her. It also gave us a little more insight on the people on the boat and is starting to bridge some theories together.

Im pretty sure Michael is going to be on the boat which is not really a shocker, but will give us a story on how he got and what is going on with Walt. Looking forward to that.

This season has been the best so far IMO.

The Constant episode was simply great!!!

It seems as if a movie could develop out of that single episode.

I do not watch the episodes when they give them, only online, simply to skip some of the commercials!!

I LOVE LOST AND THIS SEASON RULES!!!!

WHEN I FIRST STARTING WATCHING " LOST" IT WAS SO INTENSE. BUT NOW IT'S GETTING KINDA SO SO FOR ME TOO. SOMETHING EXCITING HAS TO HAPPEN SOON OR I'M JUST GONNA END UP CHANGING THE CHANNEL.

highly disappointing...boring, boring, boring. I and any other avid Lostie could have deduced that the boat was Penny's dad...and who wants to make a bet that next weeks "surprise" will be that Michael is Ben's man on the boat, made a deal with him to get off the island, this is probabaly that deal.

The only thing I found remotely interesting was the whispering and Goodwin's wife appearing/disappearing, true to the Lost form. And who is the "her" that the woman mentioned to Juliet "You look just like her" I think that's what she said...

That and HOW unbelievably creepy is Ben's love obsession with Juliet, I honestly didn't see that coming....ICKY ICKY ICKY!

I concur with the others that the Constant was a fantasic episode! I am going to write it out loud...I think that Desmond and Penny's love story is one of the best EVER...so much devotion, emotion, passion and genuine caring there...melts my heart...that phone call he made to her...makes my knees weak. mmmmmmmm.

this season is sucking
