How can i determine my latency to Xbox live?

I play Call of Duty 4 all the time and constantly shoot first and die first. Countless times i see the enemy in front of me on my screen but on the kill cam im not even facing him or it doesnt even show me shooting at all. Its like i'm playing 1-2 seconds behind everyone else and wanted to know how i could test how fast/slow my ping is but i cant for the life of me find a proper IP address to ping from my computer. I cant do the connectivity test thing that Xbox used to have on their dashboard because mine is newer and they took that feature off apparently. So can someone help me out with this? Oh btw yes i have my router fire walled and the ports forwarded as instructed by xbox live for optimum performance. Thanks in advance.

Next time you're on COD4, look on the in-match player list and check your connection. On the far right, it displays a cell phone like connection status bar for each player in the game.

u should try to take away fire wall i had it on my firewall, i took it off and lag dropped. To a decent amount where i could play normal.
