Explorer will not reverse in gear? |
i have a 99 ford explorer that will not move when put into reverse gear. automatic tranny. no problems before this. no leakage, fliud level ok. forward works. could it be a broken reverse band. contol lever(i think thats what its called by the tranny) moves and the drive shaft shifts into reverse when you put it there. but nothing happens. please help. It is broke. As for what could be the problem, that would require an inspection, My 95 Z28 did this exactly. Ended up needing a new transmission. |
