Advice on winning a rape case. URGENT?

Hey
I was raped this past summer and I pressed charges.
There has been a grand jury with some kids and one for me next week
Not many of them are on my side
Also he got enrolled to my school which has been awful
he called me a slut so i spit on him and he got a restraining order against me
(which is now gone)
it is the time where they will soon decide weather or not to go forward

I really need advice on how to get the strongest case I can
How to Talk
How to Act
etc.

I have talked to my attorney, i want advice from people who have experiened it or just know.
I need all the information I can get
I already got some from them too.

I HAVE to win this case.

This is something that you should be getting advice on from your attorney!

You don't want us, you want the attorney who's representing you. Telling you how to talk, act, even dress, is part of their job.

This is a discussion you should be having with your lawyer.

The prosecutor of your case should be the one advising you on the ettiquet of your court presentation,,,not the public...a lot depends on your' states definition of rape and the evidence you present..

Well if you were raped your going to have to show some sort of proof it happened. Not saying its like that in all cases, but did you go to your hospital to get a vaginal examination. If you did they could show records of dna present or semen. Other than that you best option would be to get character witnesses to state who you are, how you act, and present your credibility. It's basically to show your not a drma queen, liar etc.

Be as articulate as possible. Remember every detail, and explain it to the judge as you remember it. If you are asked a question by the defence lawyer, and you can't remember, then don't make up an answer. The courts would prefer a forgetful witness over a lying one.

First impressions of crime victims by grand juries are very important. It isn't right to me, but they will base their decisions mainly on how you LOOK, especially in a rape case. Are you wearing trendy, revealing clothing? Does the midriff show? Sexy high heels? Stuff like this. Court is not the place to be trendy, it is a place where you need to dress like you are going to a job interview.

Act like a victim. That is what you are, after all.

NOBODY asks to be raped. But, sadly, that is what people think these days.

my advice? Seek advice from someone at the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network, www.rainn.org, and/or from a Rape Crisis Counselor. They're really the best ones to ask, especially the Crisis Counselors.

I have been involved in something similar.

All I can tell you is this. Tell the truth, nothing more and nothing less. Do NOT fake emotion. If you don't want to cry, don't. If you feel like you have to cry, do. When I testified, the only time I cried was when I talked about my dead dog. Weird, right? But the prosecutor said I was very genuine and it showed.
