Need some advice...? |
I've been given the opprtunity to join this program at my school called the Math and Science Regional Center. The University of Tennessee sponsors. It is a program to help High schoolers prepare for college and do community service and just a bunch of different things to help them with their future. Its a wonderful opportunity and it would help me incrdibly in the furture plus it would look good for my college application. But theres a catch...the program doesn't cost any money, but it has a time over the summer where all the participants in the program have to stay in the dorms of UT for 35 days!its over the summer so it wouldn't effect my school time but its going to take up my whole summer!my education is highly important to me but see i've been taking honors classes this year and my life is already hectic enough,i've actually been dying for a real vacation and looking forward to the summer so i can finally have a break,but if i do this i won't have much of one.can sum1 givme advice I'd bet you'll have lots of down time. Think of it as summer camp! You'll meet new people and get a taste of living in a dorm atmosphere. You'll probably have weekends free... I'd go for it. It sounds like a great opportunity that wont come again. Good luck! |
