Need Some Help~!!!!?

We just received the results fr my husbands semen anaylsis and its not looking to good!

Its says Sperm are Present
Sperm count is 56.9 L 60.0-150.0 x10 9/L
Activity is 0.40 >0.60
Motility is Sluggish Sperm movement with no forward Progression.
Ph is Alkaline
Volume is 4.5
Morphology > 0.40 Abnormal and then says the presence of 40% or more of abnormal forms can result in decreased fertility
Cells occasional Epithelial cell present

No one at my family doctor explained it out to us so im calling my husbands tomorrow for an apointment. What im taking fr this is that his sperm count is slightly low the activity is low and motility is almost non existant and the morpholgy is not good either!! I dont understand however what Occasional Epithelial cell present means! is it more bad news? Is there anything we can do to better our chances? or are we going to most likely have to go thourgh IVF IUI or ICSI? any advice/info would be great!!

Does your husband smoke or wear tight-fitting briefs? Does he take hot baths or jacuzzis? Does he take a good multivitamin every day? What is his diet like?

There may be ways to improve the quality of his sperm without necessarily having to use IVF. Sometimes just taking better care of himself, dropping a few extra pounds, and making some simple lifestyle changes might be enough. You can talk to his doctor about his options, and they can retest him in a couple of months to see if there is any improvement.

It seems very odd that no one took the time to explain this to you. I can't offer further explanation, as I am no expert, but I would stop going to the family doctor for this and get yourself a fertility specialist. I think they would be much more thorough with you and would maximize your odds of conceiving.

I can't answer this but I wanted to tell you that I really hope everything works out for you and your husband and that you two get the baby you are hoping for -- one way or another!
