Did McCain reveal himself, or was it just a slip of the tongue, calls self "Liberal Republican"?

I don't think there's anyone, McCain included, who actually views him as conservative.

In many ways, McCain is a Democrat, in the tradional sense, before the influence of Socialism took over.

Just because he's conservative compared to Obama or Hillary doesn't make him a conservative.

To my misinformed friend "tdgainescrockett", Obama has come out many times as being opposed to gay marriage personally. Both McCain and Obama have said they are NOT in favor of a Federal Ban on Gay Marriage (and both are on record as voting that way) and are OK with leaving it up to the states to decide.

Yes, but as I've always said liberal and conservative are adjectives and not parties. One can as easily be a conservative Democrat as a liberal Republican.

Take it easy. It was a slip of the tounge. He was probably tired after a long day of campaigning. Don't read too much into it; candidates make mistakes all the time.

McCain is a die-HARD CONSERVATIVE. He wants to appoint super-Conservative judges to the Supreme Court and overturn Roe. Vs. Wade and keep us at war for as long as it takes. He is anti-homosexual marriage. He proudly accepted an endorsement by John Hagee. He is as Conservative as they get Praise the Lord!

Yeah I mean his lying wasn't going anywhere,all anyone has to do his look at his record.He his republican in name only.

He is a liberal Republican. He is a strong conservative on defense but on some issues socially liberal. Again he is being honest, funny, Obama campaigns on that and when McCain does it all the libs come out and attack him for it.
