My friend is missing???? I dont know what to think?

I have this friend and we are pretty tight, or so I thought. We talked like everyday, confided in each other, she even signed up for the same classes as me so we can have the same schedule. Sometimes when she's stressed she says she wants to just disappear from everyone and I'll joke and say the same thing. So first thing I noticed she wasnt coming to class. So i txt her and her mom called me back. Her mom told me that my friend had her calls forwarded over to her phone so I was like well tell her I called and she said okay. So i waited a week and txt her again, no response. Then I called her cell and its shut off. Then I called her house, phone is shut off. Its been over a month now and I dont know where she is. We dont have mutual friends, she has no email I dont know where her family lives so I dont know what to do. I was gonna go to her apartment but I was afraid if she seen me she would think Im a stalker. I dont know whether to be worried or be mad at her for doing this. Help?

She has a 8 yr old so I dont think she would pull him out of school and just leave but I dont know

you should be worried since she is a pretty close freind. you should go over to her apartment and see whats wrong. she should understand, and apreciate how much you care and is a true freind. If she do let you know what going on just support her, let her know that ur there for her

Did you make a note of her moms number when you got through to her the first time?

I would go to her apartment and put a note through the door, maybe ask the neighbors if they have seen her or her son? If she is there at least you know she's ok, I wouldn't worry about looking like a stalker, that's something a worried friend would do.

I wouldn't worry about being thought of as a stalker. If you explained to her that you were genuinely worried, she would understand.

I would call her mom again, and explain that you are concerned about her. Does her mom already know that your friend has been out of contact for a week? If the mom doesn't know, I would do whatever she tells you to do, whether that be go to the police or just wait. If she told you to wait, I would tell her that I would call the police soon (no more than a week) if I didn't get any contact from her.

EDIT: Okay, I would go to her house and ask her neighbors, as the person above said. If the neighbors say that they haven't seen any sign of her, I would go to the police. Explain the situation, and bring pictures of her and her daughter.

I had a friend once who did this turns out they were running from the law something to do with the dad's business.... They lived in a beautiful home on a golf coarse not the type you would think would be running away but they were...... Maybe the mom is hiding the kids from an ex or something you never know.... Talk with a teacher or someone who may know what happened..........

just go to her place and see whats up and ask around
you are being a friend unless you did something that she doesnt want to talk to you no more.
