Remaining car payments?

I have a lease, and there are 3 payments left. I went to the dealership to see if I can terminate it early if I get a new car. They gave me a deal, and the car company had a program called "Payment Pull Forward", where they take your last 3 payments and eat them up if you get a new deal with them. So I signed up, now the car I wanted wasn't available in stock, so it had to be transferred from texas. Its been 3 weeks and it should be arriving any day now.

Now what happened is I had a car accident 1 week ago and the car I am giving back has severe damage. I had it towed to the dealer's body shop, but after inspecting it, they told me that they can't do the pull forward on it because the program is ending tomorrow, and the car will be in the body shop for 2 weeks, and so now I owe the remaining 3 payments, which is 1800.

Is there any chance my insurance might pick up the tab on those remaining payments, since I have incurred them due to the accident?

Thanks!

I am with Allstate by the way, who have been great by the way, and I haven't had an accident in 7 years

No.

The insurance company will not make your payments.

You took out the lease - you signed a contract to be responsible for those payments - they are your responsibility.

The insurance company will also not pay you for the gas that was in the car. Again, your responsibility.

If the car is repairable, then the insurance company will pay to repair the damage. If the car is a total loss - they will settle up with the lease company (because they are the owner of the vehicle). When you lease a car - you are not the owner of the car. In essence - all you did was rent the car for a few years.

Nope, it's not going to happen.

If it makes you feel better, usually that "payment pull forward" isn't them eating the payment - it's rolling the "negative equity" into the new lease. You STILL pay it, it's just hidden. With more interest.
