Who else believes that Super Bowl XLII ....?

Listen there were 3 calls that really stood out as Busch to me.
1) The catch that Amani Toomer made when Eli threw that bomb- it was offensive pass interference no doubt, you got to make that call.
2) When Bradshaw fumbled, the pats recovered and the whistle blew. Then Bradshaw tipped the ball 10 yards and then they called illegal hit forward, C'mon that was so busch league.
Mike Vrabel was about to hop on the ball.
3)The David Tyree catch at the end of the game that set up the game winning drive. By rule Eli even though he was not tackled he stayed in the pocket and was tugged and thrown around counts as a tackle after a certain amount of time elapses.
If the Refs made the CORRECT calls then the Pats would have won.

I would have to say thank you for trying to prove a point but since it's the referee's call, we can't really do anything about it. I would like all those calls to happen but we just have to accept that the Pats lost.

The referees are right not to make the call on Eli scrambling in the pocket, as long as he stayed on both feet, let them play their game.

Bradshaw Fumble - As I recall, the Patriots did almost the same thing to the Ravens in the regular season, it was like a offsides penalty on one of the offensive line guys on a 4th down, and that penalty caused them to repeat 4th down thus, the Patriots made it.

Did not see the Amani Toomer catch.

Who cares? The game is over...the Giants played a better game...the call that changed the outcome of the game was going for it on 4th and 13 instead of kicking a field goal...the Giants won it and as a Pats fan I say its time to move on...congrats to the Giants and their fans.

Hey man after ALL the calls that went the way of the Patriots throughout the season this year, I can't beleive you are going to complain about the calls made on Sunday.
Face it, the Pats were supposed to ROLL OVER the Giants, the Pats were out played and they lost, get over it.

The refs carried the Pats all year.
In the Baltimore game, the Colts game and the first game with the Giants.
All those games had ridiculous calls that went the Pats way.
It all evens out in the end, doesn't it.

The Giants kicked the Pats Butt the game was not as close as the score.

Those call were close, #1 and #2, but some was too tough to overturn, I didn't like the play when the Giants had a foul because they had 12 men on the feild and that foul gave the Patriots a first down.

1) Yes that was offensive interference. That makes one which didn't go your way compared to about 60 that Randy Moss has gotten away with this year

2) They called the penalty. What else should they do?

3) He wasn't in the grasp. He was continuing to make progress.

The officiating was not too bad.

1) That play could, and possibly should, have been called for interference. However, Mike Carey's crew has always been known to allow the players to mix it up a little. So, plays like this do happen in games where he is the head referee.
2) The Patriots did not recover the fumble. If they had, they would have declined the penalty and kept possession. That one was cut and dry.
3) Because Eli had his jersey grabbed, you actually believe they should have called him down? Thats a bit far out there...

1.) I agree with # 1 being a blown call

2.) you are right there was a blown call. Because the patirots were offsides the entire play should have been null and void and the giants should have had a first down. i don't understand how the "illegal hit" even mattered after a defensive offsides.

3) Eli was still moving, he never went backwards and his progress was unimpeded. lets be for real, the 1 blown call did nothing for the giants as they came down and turned the ball over on that drive because steve smith dropped the ball.

get over it the worst decision made of the day was the Patriots going for it on 4th and 13. That is what you should be upset about. That changed the moment of the game.

Bradshaw got penalized for CHEATING (I know you don't understand that as a Patriots fan), and it's not Eli's fault those fat, slow overrated defensive linemen couldn't tackle him. And it's not David Tyree's fault that all the steroids Rodney Harrison did couldn't help him wrestle an interception away from Tyree.

i kind of agree with you the refs were kinda cheap and against the patriots... they called like 2 offsides against the patriots when they clearly moved because the giants player moved first. and when eli manning fumbled the ball but they didn't do anything. he fumbled the ball completely. i'm not whinning i'm just making a point and CONGRATS GIANTS! you played really well, but you still aren't better than the patriots.

The refs called teh Bradshaw play. 10 yard penalty. That is what u r supposed to do. Bradshaw tried hitting it out of bounds but missed. I was soooo happy to see shades of the Holy Roller play in the Giants playbook

With Toomer it was a physical game at that point. If the refs call that they have to call some of the Wes Welker catches.

I do not think so. The Giants played the kind of game that everyone should have been playing all year long. The Patriots do not have a complected offensive scheme.

They run simple straight up and down the field routes and slants as far as receiving, they run north and south and they play zone and blitz defensively. I think they got a taste of there own medicine against the giants. The Giants just stayed on top of them the entire game, unlike other teams who let up near the end and let games get away from them.

Regardless to what plays did not go their way, The Patriots are supposed to be the GREATEST!!! team of all time! Don't great people and teams overcome adversity and win, no matter what happens?

I am usually not this blunt about anything like this, but FACE IT! they took a big fat L, Tom Brady is not that good and the Patriots are losers.

The Eagles, Ravens, and Colts should have all beat them, they just let up at the end.

Not a Giants or Pats fan but:

The first Bradshaw fumble - I think Belichick missed an opportunity to challenge the call. Pierre Woods pounced on the ball and is then touched by Giants players - no whistle yet. Then the pile-up ensues and Bradshaw ends up coming away with it. Belichick could have said I am challenging the ruling on the field - we had posession of the ball and were contacted as our player was down.

I believe replays showed this to be the case - anyone agree?
